I’ve had similar issues with a 2023 Honda Civic and with a 2025 Audi A3. I don’t think good cars exist anymore. All car software is shit.

You could argue that (I would disagree to some degree), but the comment I replied to didn't argue that.

You're completely missing the point of the comment you're replying to, though. The parent comment suggests that the cost of investing is not high enough. Moreover, they suggest that it should not only be a higher cost, but that th

Ruling on technicalities is their job. I don't like the outcome either, but they did their job and they did it well.

You totally can, and many people trivially write their own standard library when they work with Haskell.

Syntax is inherent to the language, and what you’re talking about says more about people than it says about any intrinsic property of the language. It’s not bait. Call me pedantic if you want, but I think words have meaning.

Of course. My response was overly simplistic, simply because the parent comment seemed to suggest that there existed no solution.

Maybe... But to me that whole incident seems more like a symptom than a cause. IMHO (disclaimer: pure conjecture), Musk must have been "broken" prior to engaging in such behaviour.

You can pinpoint, fairly easily, the year Elon turned from eccentric to insane to sometime in 2019 just by looking at his wiki page. It’s so weird.

Right, because that’s a “smart” way to tackle the demographic collapse/crisis while totally not making the problem worse.

That's right-- Personally I like to think in functional programming terms, and with FP concurrency/parallelism is more or less a non-issue.

This can be a culture shock for people coming from places like ruby, python, javascript... But a lot of clojure libraries are actually just "finished", they're not abandoned.
