No company is betting on data-driven HTML apps. Google and Mozilla is clearly betting on C/C++/GL and sockets. Chrome and Firefox is becoming another Qt. Microsoft is hesitating because they're lingering on Windows/DX&#x

R.I.P. Android developers. Google finally decided where to go.

I believe this is because they're in Google. For them, taking a VM instance would be more reasonable than multiplexing single machine into multiple virtualized environment.

Nope. Wrong. That's something like a man who is eating his own flesh. Without content (including applications), a platform is useless. If a platform cannot defend their developers, the platform should die. (this is actually happening o

This is exactly what people call ACID TRANSACTION . Which completely lacked on Mongo. MySQL also lacked this, so people had to deal with data loss until they get InnoDB. Next time you choose a database, always check the ACID compliance. It

When I see explicit mention of API , it implies there's no running memcache daemon. I dug MySQL 5.7 manual several times, but I couldn't find any proof that this is just an memcache API atop MySQL. But I found some proof that s

That's only true when we have any write operation. If all dataset are purely read-only, it's always consistent. And I believe this article is the case.
