You could say that YC is.. HN is just a tech news/discussion site. If anything it's all about (comparatively) respectful discourse.

The idea that cops respond with reasonable force in a rational manner is a fantasy. They are not some innocent victims of misunderstanding, they regularly fight back with as much force as they are allowed to employ, and if noone's watc

Authority figures are regularly given a sort of indoctrination on induction. It's us vs them, they're criminal scum, etc etc. You can't have a civil conversation with a cop, even an off-duty one, about how criminals might be

Right, you're absolutely correct. I actually "get" inharmonicity, I think lack of sleep and the fact that tuning and the imperfect interval of an octave comes into it (I didn't know that tunings were actually shifted aro

I think they have a fair idea of what they're talking about, but you've both rushed to reply without thoroughly reading. Seems they missed where you talked about it being okay as long as you can monitor realtime and you've mi

No way do Scarlett pres have the amount of clean gain we're talking for SM7B or RE20 territory. Unless you really get an excellent interface/mixer I would go for external pres.

Okay.. so that kind of sounds like you need a dietician, which is someone you can ask your GP for a referral for, or in many cases just book an appointment with. Your GP doesn't send you to the dentist unless there's something so

I'm a non-American native English speaker and "I could care less.." confused me until I had it explicitly explained to me. I took it as some kind of inversion of "I couldn't care less" which I had heard plenty.
