Yes you correct of course. I thought the point nsns was making that quantum was holding on the micro scale, and not-above that. I didn't get that he was commenting on the difference between _govern_ and _describe_.

All macro systems are consistent with blown up versions of quantum systems. Chemistry, then biology. Whats left?

Ah, the title is misleading, this is not a client for http://livereload.com/ , its just an auto-refresh that I built in node.

Not much, other than the fact that its really small and takes two lines to implement. For a node.js app it may be faster than the [node-livereload] because it uses socket.io instead of polling. [node-livereload]: https://npmjs.org/package/l

I am quite confident that quantum dots will be able to do this sort of thing soon (10yrs). They are shown to be reliable and resistant to decoherence. I don't know much about that weak measurement stuff, only in really theoretical situation

Im not explaining it very well and its difficult to condense, perhaps I'll write a blog post that goes into more detail for a layman reader.

The key is in the no cloning theorem. If Evil Eve intercepts some of the signal that Alice is sending Bob she will resend incorrect information 50% of the time. In a classical bit stream, ie loads of photons in a fiber or a radio wave, Eve

Everyone here is getting confused by the fact that you cannot control the polarity/polarization of the qubits before/as you send them. This means that one cannot send information faster than light. What is useful however is the fact tha

It can be used to share a cipher (one-time-pad) because you and I would know the arrangement of bits that the other person has, and no-one else would/could know. However the measurements on the qubit's are probabilistic, so we cannot contro

This is one movie/tv site I have come across where the time between finding a movie you like and watching said movie is short enough that I don't get frustrated.

The link to the research paper at the bottom is the bomb, because no matter what it says I should get an hour or two of placebo filled awesomeness from this.

It doesnt do anything. But it might be worth the quick clone to bypass some tedious setup ( it's my repo thats linked )

Groups like Toshiba at cambridge and EPN at Tyndall are doing a lot into quantum key distribution and generating suitable photons for quantum based logic ( https://www.toshiba-europe.com/research/crl/qig/quantumkeyse... , http://www.tynda
