Worked quite well! I would say it's usable by savvy people today. However the delay and turn-based interaction would preclude my parents from using it successfully. Nice work though!

I dunno, remains to be proven, but if you managed a commercial python code base and could get a 2x performance improvement across the board by switching interpreters, wouldn't you at least give it a shot?

In my case I use a small gadget to convert the pulses to DTMF tones, which feed into a voip connection. The point is that the device itself still works, unlike much iot crap which can't be made to work once the server goes down.

Gitea is an amazing project... I tried self hosting gitlab years ago and quickly realised it was flake city... Gitea was up and running in minutes. Bonus points for being written in Golang and deployed as a single binary ... F'ing love
