It's a remaster and it's published by Microsoft, I doubt they'd let a sub-par Windows experience slide for their own product.

So what you're saying is we need to rewrite it in Rust, then compile it to WASM, then compile an ASM.js backup as well? /s

If I had to guess, I would say the claim is about running IBM DOS in a browser, as opposed to Linux.

Yeah, but back in the day you didn't run the raw square wave signal into your headphones. Even if you used headphones the beep would go to the speaker either in the chassis or in the monitor

Doesn't Graal/Truffle address that pretty directly? It's a way to build language interpreters directly on top of the JVM that can JIT the interpreter as well as the code running on top of it.

Even if they don't fit the touchscreen you can run the thing as a desktop machine with a monitor. At that point it's just an ARM linux box.

More likely people will start developing with compiled languages, compiling down to WebAssembly, then still use Electron for the UI end just for the cross platform support.

It's true that my post is grossly simplified for the sake of an exercise in pseudo-formal logic. This is largely for the sake of readability, as it was pretty long already. >>total lack of change at a meta-scale like a society on

If he's talking about economic stasis, let's give it a go: 1) Economics are the monetary interactions of a given society, subgroup, population, etc 2) stasis refers to not just stagnation, but a complete lack of change 3) total la

Seems to me based on the description that it only says "Hey Google" to the device and then lets your voice through by cutting off the white noise. That would mean the only delay would be between when you say the wake word and when

Compute (rather than I/O) heavy and highly multithreaded stuff skews towards AMD. Most applications benefit more from Intel's caching and single-core turbo boost features than they do from AMD's more discrete style of multith

It's probably their workaround for the fact that it's illegal to actually ban users from seeking third party repairs, even in a warranty.

So I decided to try combining the way you did it with what I did before, and I came up with this method, which is effectively equivalent to the 4x AA in the top-level comment: void mainImage( out vec4 fragColor, in vec2 fragCoord ) {

Hash is pseudorandom. It amplifies the rounding error of the sine function, as explained here: https://stackoverflow.com/a/4275343 The reason I didn't use fragCoord was because I wasn't sure it would be withi

Figured out how to do Multi-Frame style Anti-Aliasing for a much lower performance hit, looks nearly as good in motion: void mainImage( out vec4 fragColor, in vec2 fragCoord ) { float h1 = (hash(time + fragCoord.x) + hash(time + fr
