If facebook is going to ban google, it should provide its own revenue possibility for its app dev's.

Have you thought about investing into advertising (not sure of your product, so you would have to gauge where the best place to put your money).

I know what we are going to do with it - we have a great idea, I just wanted to see what others would do with it. True, that is what is holding us back. We're exploring some .coms

Yes, competing would be and we do have a USP. Some parts of our services are similar with the traditional payment companies (google checkout and paypal) which will allow us to take part of their market share.

Good points, but Bangladesh isn't Lybia. And if the "worry" was the case, companies/site's like bit.ly or page.ly would have a .com redundancy - like we will as well - just in case.

Sorry you feel that way. I'm just looking to launch a payment type of business and am looking for feedback on what people would do if they had the chance.

Sure, why wouldn't it? It would be a US based LLC with the proper US licensing and insurance and hosted in the US.

Why quit? Why not try to do the 4 hour work week approach, by working a couple of days a week at home. Then, begin building your product. Once you have a sellable product, then let them know.

Tell him you don't have a price in mind as you weren't looking to immediately sell. Tell him to make an offer.

Great Post. I was just asking a friend a couple weeks back if he could hack my new startup website.

True. Does have to be different. As it is very basic and simple (thats the point), its free to use - no monthly. Just a very small percentage collected per invoice.

Interesting point. I own another online retail business and all of my (500+ clients) pay me through it.

Its really simple as time management. Do 1 task per day/every other day for your startup (maybe 1-3 hours if you can spare) and at the end of 1 month, check your progress. Rinse and Repeat until launch. Then do the same with marketing.

Yes. This will rank the best deals as they will emerge via the high amount of clicks via the social aspect and sharing.

Right, but the categorized list of businesses ads are enormous already. I'm not saying replace the models they have in place, but just offering up something different from a social perspective which google doesn't seem to have a lot of luck

Really good points. Thanks for the feedback. You still have to layout money before you make any, hence the reason why the groupon model is so enticing from an advertiser's perspective.

Right. My point is as an advertiser, I have to lay out money with the hopes of making more back (ROI). With the groupon model, I don't have to lay out any money to "advertise" and I pay for the ads once I get paid.
