I agree, but your sentence is empty: errors do not exist, they are just conditions that you dislike . Do not let your emotions affect the syntax for control flow!

Just a heads-up that the person who writes this is Tim Davis[0], author of the legendary CHOLMOD solver[1], which hundreds of thousands of people use daily when they solve sparse symmetric linear systems in common numerical environments. Ev

There are some differences, though. For example, the resonance of the open G strings on the violins is sometimes audible, and this may make different keys sound different.

But this would be very good advice! Exceptions (a.k.a. modern-flavored COMEFROM statements[0]) are extremely confusing and have no place in a clean codebase. [0] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COMEFROM

Yes, please! And also for the command line. Why there's no global option to switch off tqdm and all similar "modern" clutter? Like NO_COLOR but with all terminal animations and stuff.

I was going to say this! Moreover, besides self-closing tags, in HTML5 there are many optional tags. For example, you almost never need to write explicit html, head, body, tags. The given minimal example thus can be simplified to somet

There is this 2009 PhD thesis, and associated articles, where they explain how to "counter" trusting trust by using a set of independent compilers (even assuming that each compiler may be infected): https://dwheeler.com

This is useless bloat. Default browser styles are perfectly alright. When they aren't, this is mainly a self-inflicted problem by your browser (that can set whatever default it wants), and by yourself (who can easily override the defau

You can use nilpotents with classical logic and the excluded middle. This is called dual numbers and it's already a good model for "calculus without limits". They are like complex numbers, but instead of x^2=-1 you set x^2=

Notice that you can still use ubuntu with plain firefox and no snap at all on your system. First thing I do on a new ubuntu install is to remove snap and other clutter. It's still a plain debian totally under your control, after all.

In math and computer science, papers witten in word are a definite mark of crackpotery. I agree it's arbitrary and nonsensical, but clearly a good heuristic.

H1. If it's written in word, not good. H2. If there's no git repo with the complete code to reproduce all experiments, then you can assume it's bullshit.
