The new GC reduces pauses to the single-digit milliseconds. Rendering every ~15ms seems reasonable under those constraints. Plus I don't think a game engine will typically put a lot of pressure on the garbage collector. I don't th

So do it. If it's a great success, it might end up in the language. (Seriously.)

Jeremy Saenz certainly remains a well respected member of the Go community. Martini is very 'magical' and makes it hard to see exactly what's going on, making it quite unusual as a Go framework, so naturally it drew some crit

The success of Go depends on a healthy community. I am quite happy to lose some talented people if they can't play well with others.

Creating a new language is a big effort that requires a lot of expertise. Why would they create a new language if there's one that they already like and want to use?

I think the point was that the large community that has formed around Go is made up of willing participants, not conscripts.

It's not a political thing. The Go team and the Dart team have different design philosophies. If this were not the case, then they wouldn't be making two different languages.

It's solved in the sense that the community has converged on a particular approach, and now we are supporting that approach in the go tool.
