Anecdote but I was there a few weeks ago and did have a similar experience. It was really annoying, so many small shops chose not to take card, and as tourists you usually get screwed on the exchange rates if you need cash. Also a concert w

To own my own pocket supercomputer that also functions as a high quality photo/video camera? I'd gladly pay that "tax". It's about the equivalent of one meal a month in a restaurant.

I have a rule that I spend the most money on things I use the most. Mattresses, phones, computers, desks, chairs, etc. Is a thousand dollars for a phone a lot? Well, depends on how you look at it. I use it for more than an hour a day, every

Curious, what is it with Microsoft that makes it so poisonous for you that you won't touch anything they make with a ten foot pole? As an example, I'd say Facebook (Meta) is a way more toxic company but I've never heard of a

Still not as terrible as some SPACs, the all time high was around $30 for PSTH, so the worst haircut you could get is to be 33% down if you had bought at the very exact top.

There is no way you'd be able to cash out $1.3M if most of the liquidity is simply not there, the price would crater immediately. You'd have to sell to yourself.
