Just curious, how do you get 500 GB and your own cloud for 4.99$. I use Dropbox and always felt their price is fair.

I think you need an OTP to get online Aadhar PDF. So you can't get paper Aadhaar just by knowing the Aadhar number.

Given the amount that Google pays to Apple to remain the default search engine on the iPhone, I really doubt they would be willing to take that risk.

I understand your point, but in times of crisis, (like the Myanmar situation) I think the idea of no solution won't find much takers and people will be desperate to "do something".

I think the solution for the problem of fake news is going to be very difficult. People have a tendency of believing whatever they read in Facebook or a random google search or a random WhatsApp message, and that is going to be difficult to

Ghemawat should definitely be one. I sometimes wonder why Dean is teated on a wholly different level than Ghemawat. If you look at their works, almost all of them involve both. Probably someone with more knowledge can shed some light here.

I will argue that WhatsApp has a higher potential of spreading rumours than facebook. 1. You can easily broadcast a WhatsApp message to multiple groups. Most people I know are members of 3-4 groups. 2. WhatsApp messages are transmitted inst

Okay. But even with the government as part of the gathering the premise remains the same. Even for the government it is vastly easier to use the new communication platforms to spread hate and solidify it's grip on power. I am not sayin

The beast is always there in people if you look on a large enough scale. People managed to spread hate even before Facebook, but Facebook and other new communication platforms have made it dramatically easy. The same way guns were a dramati

I am not saying that at all. I am just saying the online gatherings we have now are unprecedented both in their size and in their numbers. Imagine an in person rally of 10k people. It would be a huge event both and get huge coverage. Bigger

I think a big problem is that the modern communication platforms provide the power to assemble public anytime anonymously, and as a society we are yet to realise that. In a real world gathering, you have media and government obseevers, and

I think your experience may be an outlier. Being in an University for the past 4 years, I observed that 90% of the laptops used by the students were 1366*768, and majority were 4GB, followed by 8GB. I don't remember anyone having any p

Java didn't handle it much better, they simply chose a different tradeoff. They chose to implement generics via type erasure, which basically means List<String> and List are the exact same classes at runtime. .NET chose to implem
