They are changing because right now they are growing like crazy without the need to do much on user acquisition, and a bad PR is just too costly right now. But good to see them doing it.

No, you attack the systematic problem and don't become happy by fixing one of them, since it is a hollow victory, and public outrage has limited capacity for repeated posts of "app x is sending to Facebook".

I think mostly against breach in datacenter security. Most competent companies already have policies on how to deal with discarded old disks. The one that don't have might not be competent enough to use encryption on rest too. It'

The entitlement in that thread is mind blowing. A lot of people who are complaining about there being only a single maintainer, seem to have no open source contribution history on github. If the project is important to so many people, they

I think it shows the sheer incompetence of Google product management that they managed to lose the strong hold Gtalk had. Gtalk worked. People liked it. Hangouts too worked well. I used hangouts in browser in 2013 and it worked very well. S

Hackintosh are hard to build, by any reasonable definition, even for an average HN users. It's possible some people find that easy, but surely it is much harder than following an even medium difficulty tutorial.

Yes, that is correct. But if you eat from the same container, there is no way to decontaminate.

Is decontamination really necessary? Can't you just ensure that you wash your hands after handling any delivered goods. For example, after receiving a delivery of something, you wash your hands after opening it. After receiving a food

I don't think this is similar to normal remote work though. Schools are closed, so people can't work on home in isolation. On top of that people must be anxious. When people are worried about lots of other stuff their output may n

Just out of curiosity, what is an actionable, practical alternative to Capitalism? Communism doesn't seem to work, and most people's idea of an alternative is an utopian world grounded in wishful thinking.

Not sure about the legal validity here, but you can be sure somebody would find time and energy to take this to court. I don't think however, that any court would rule to swifty declare this illegal and then be deemed somewhat responsi

But aren't their elder people highly likely to be conservative voters, and also voting in large percentages. If those people do not vote in the next elections, won't the tories lose by a large margin? Source: https://yo
