M:TG is an interesting example, because these days everything spawns so many tokens or adds so many counters that it's not just the cardboard. If you want real elegance, look at the core of the old Star Wars Customizable Card Game. Eac

The problem with this is that it's very easy to get stuck with a useless board game if the app doesn't get updated. If you're selling physical product that needs an app to run, there is no reason for the app not to be Free So

Dunno if you know, but the ZZT community had a revival of sorts with the release of the reconstructed source code. Unfortunately it's on discord, but a few mzx people hang around too.

No, I didn't, because emacs is what I use and like. Pick an editor that's over 40 years old and not built out of a web browser. I'm not that fussed which one.

.sucks is one such example. Everyone feels obliged to buy their own .sucks, lest someone else use it to stand up a hatepage. A whole bunch of money changes hands, but nobody is better off. gTLDs were a mistake.

One thing I really noticed when 98.css did the rounds the other day: Old UIs were _discoverable_ in a way that modern UIs are not. It's clear what's clickable, what's grouped together, where you can grab and drag.
