I know this is a gag, but it misses the point. NFTs are interesting because they support smart contracts, use a cryptocurrency wallet system to manage value and ownership, can be minted in quantities > 1, support unlockable content, etc.

What's hilarious to me is that Apple considers their own computers of this era to be "vintage" No joke, that's the real term https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201624 "About vintage products. --

I’m kind of a stickler for comments like this. The more context and rationale that can be provided at a glance the faster future contributors can understand the current state.

I wish they would expand on their objection to using tezos. https://hicetnunc.art is an active alternative to opensea, and the gas fees on tezos are far smaller (pennies) Whats the downside?

I’ve experimented with this on guitar and it does sound good. Maybe because its familiar but different at the same time. Or maybe because so many things sound better when pitched down.

Does loopy pro have a retrospective looper? By retrospective looper I mean can it loop audio after it happens, as opposed to punching in? I learned about this approach using https://endlesss.fm and have been looking for a standa

I use Brave as an alternative to chrome, for sites that only work right in chrome. Its not perfect. The business model raises my eyebrows, but then again so does google’s. And I’m not thrilled with what mozilla is putting out. I’d love to

Surprise skiplevel feedback is pretty strange. Tells me that the boss is inexperienced, maybe poorly managing stress. Micromanaging the engineering decisions of their own team just reinforces that. If you have a good relationship with you

Instead of forwarding the ssh agent I use a bastion host and proxycommand. That lets me keep the ssh private key on the outermost host. The outer system has the key, and the inner bastion system has the acl to connect inward to actual serv

Hard pass for me. I’m happy being an individual and supporting others. Trying to one up people is ego/anger driven behavior and while maybe a person works faster in that mode, isn’t better in the long run. Think about it. Can you cou

Some train parking lot systems would be vulnerable to this too. I've parked in lots where you enter the parking spot number and payment into a website. There is no physical confirmation, and it would be trivial to put a QR code on the

By extension, I miss when protocols were more front and center on the internet. These days most things are abstracted away by a web interface or app hosted in the cloud. Sure this makes a nicer UX, but it has the side-effect of creating wal

It's really a shame what many of the "FAANG" companies (and the companies who admire/adopt their practices) are doing to tech work. My own experiences, the horror stories I've read, the broken/horrible intervie

What it weird about it? Minting NFTs and being paid directly for editions sold seems like a good model to directly fund artists. Plus the creator will receive a royalty percentage on subsequent sales, so they will be paid even if the price
