Agreed. I have been using this for the last couple months since I uninstalled my client on Windows (MetroTwit) at work and won't check my phone all the time, the manual refresh is very "on demand" and I love it.

Which can lead to misclicks since then you were trying to reach has simply moved. But, when you click a link from google, the message appears over the navigation for logged in users, so maybe they dropped that behavior?

IMO, Open Source is what is going to save the .NET as a startup option, things like Nancy, OWIN, Kayak, SimpleData, Dapper are building an entire web stack without any Microsoft owned product.
