But you said that 'The Path Lies Through Platforms'. Isn't MkDocs an example of someone that's using a platform to good advantage? The thing that impresses me about MkDocs is that it's a project that actually produc

Y'know what, I just took a look and I think I would like Rust-style error handling. It reminded me about one thing that I dislike about exception handing in C#, that methods don't have to declare the exceptions that they throw,

I don't like nulls and I definitely appreciate discriminated unions. But WTF is wrong exceptions?! And by that I mean try/catch/finally. I wouldn't use a language that doesn't have them. The lack of exceptions in G

I take that back, I'd still write a LINQ expression, and compile and save that in the db. That way I can display the original rule as text to a user and let them modify it. ta daaaaaa...

I'll concede your point about saving LINQ in a database. But you know what I can do, in a day... Take a rule, written as a function in C#, compile it to an assembly, save it in a database with a name and checksum, and then dynamic

I'm confused by this. I've never written Clojure or Lisp. I'm a run-of-the-mill C#, .NET developer. But even I am used to treating LINQ expressions as both code and data. I can take a LINQ expression, modify it if I w

I've never seen a design guide quite like this before, because this guide essentially tells me how to construct a content-oriented web site from parts. Since I'm a run-of-the-mill data-oriented app developer I'm familiar with

I agree with you that going back to the JQuery days of unmaintainable imperative code would not be a good thing. But with JQuery I was able to create adaptive UIs by applying 'transforms' to the DOM, I really miss that. Think of

Totally disagree with this. Change detection is nothing but a hack to get around the fact that interacting directly with the browser DOM is very slow and blinky. Imagine a world where interacting directly with the browser DOM didn't su

It's not about generating code from contracts, it's about formally verifying that the associated C0 code satisfies those contracts.
