Im on the second page of this book and it is presented in a way that makes me want to use awk right now. I really like how this is written, it does a great job of presenting a base idea and building on it. @thewhitetulip did you plan out al

I think this onEnd callback is what allows you to spam the button and nothing changes on screen https://github.com/countable/cats-of-jasnah/blob/master/inde... This is cool though. I never thought to bui

My only beef with usb-c is that there doesn't seem to exist a hub that offers multiple usb-c ports with via a single usb-c port. Until those are mainstream, I feel that usb-c is inferior to a/b.

Interesting (but not really) that twisting his words made it to HN. Watch the video of his speech, it’s ~20 minutes ( https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BvzSv28z97o ). He says, and is pretty clear, that peace is the key, but don’t

I used it a few weeks ago to crop out a picture of Lebron James’daughter’s face to use as a reaction in slack because I didn’t have photoshop or an app capable of doing what I needed on my computer

This is really cool. Are there any examples on how to create svg like that or is this project open source somewhere?

I wonder how much of this is directly related to Google’s game streaming ambitions. Chrome, the browser, is pretty much it’s own os at this point

A proper shebang would work for *nix users (and maybe Windows users as well). I’d imagine a drop down next to the run button that would list the available languages on the system. The code would need to check for the languages at startup ti

I might fork this and add other Lang support. I like the minimal `write to a file, eval, and display` approach. The execNotebook function would need modifications

I still love textmate and use it daily. I opened up the source a few days back wondering what it would take to add split pane editing (chocolat app’s splits would be a good template to copy), no luck as I have no idea what I was looking at.

Interesting that he had promises in node that early. Maybe if he kept them, the community wouldn’t had standardized on two space indents Edit: so two space indents weren’t a consequence of “callback hell” ?

This is beautiful and the video really sells it (if walls aren’t like this in the near future then what is all of this for?). But is this “just” a large screen Windows computer running in kiosk (or whatever) mode? Could I get a classic wind

This is really cool. I wrote something similar with Python (it was slow ha) as an exercise to learn Redis a few years back. I used Gremlin/Groovy as an inspiration for the query lang, not Cypher as this project does. https://

Random but, whenever a new company comes with a dot com that is a standard word, I wonder how much it cost them. I remember color.com going for something like a quarter of a mill. Essential.com has to be in that ballpark.
