I fear that the administration will drag much of the world into this kicking and screaming.

I wish I could have breakfast with him and just talk about what it all means. I hear he goes to some local diner.

Not magic although it seems like it. Pixel perfect graphics and smooth video go a long way even if you’re not a graphic designer. Silicon Graphics had this figured out.

If you want to work as a clerk at Target, the video is not even an interview, it’s a one-way audition you record to be judged anonymously.

Oh, man, I had forgotten about having the menu keyboard shortcuts underlined all the time. Sometimes you could even tell that whoever had a sense of humor in choosing the mnemonics. I don't even know how to open the macOS menu bar with

I think that this cartoon was a play on a booklet from that era which the electric company gave out. It illustrated the grid and all kinds of possibilities around the home and farm for those who were not used to electrification. My dad had

I could do without it. At this point, the domains are for authenticity. I don't need hierarchies of Wikipedia domains for language and mobile view, for instance.

GP wrote that a base-60 second hand is digital, but the second hand on a Rolex ticks at 5 steps IIRC. It is not clear to me that the natural numbers would exist at all if human beings did not.

This headline is hard to believe. It's like a story from the Onion. It's stranger than Tim Apple just going along with it when the President called him that.

An operating system should be self-hosting. You should be able to compile it and reinstall it on the same machine. Obviously, Windows and macOS are closed-source, but I would if I could.

I'm sure the integrated multiband dynamics in that digital processor sound great and everything. I'd be much more comfortable with an Orban Optimod that was built before my parents got married.

For those of us who used to fix PCBs and wire breadboards, it’s nice to see the traces are still there, like knowing where your food comes from, even if any hope of an analog baseband project is long past. Lightning is one of Apple’s hits.
