we need to differentiate two things here: using discord as the only way to reach a project and find documentation about it. the author mentions sending private messages right after joining. i would not have joined discord to do that, i'

i don't know if that makes sense but it could be interesting to split the views of any point into multiple segments, and then for each segment find the largest distance. next between two of these largest views find the shortest view. i

it's possible to integrate jitsi in such a way that the chat has a function that will open a jitsi room and share the link to that. on irc this could be a bot. for people used to irc that's seamless enough. for something more conv

what if you put a limit on it? like only a dozen views per point, and only views that are at least 100km. or only do this for peaks or points of interest. or some combination like more views for higher peaks, less for lower ones.

I had noooo idea how much my interpretation of the world had been shaped by prior lived experience this is an interesting point. it's very true of course. there is probably some philosophical or biological explanation for this, somet

yes of course, language is by nature an abstraction, so by definition it will never describe the whole world perfectly, but it can describe it as well as we understand it. and the point that matters, once we have a shared experience we can

ok, fair point. what i am trying to say is that when we see/experience something that we can not describe we can create new words for it. we see something, we can name it. this directly contradicts the idea that language is the limit a

telling the AI what kind of music i want is not a story? what if i write the lyrics and use AI to add music? or if i use AI to create a song but then play and sing the song with my own instruments and voice? is reciting music not also art?

to aggressively detect and interdict fraud is fascistic, because being aggressive hurts those that want to do it right but are not trusted. an aspect of fascism is to not trust its own people.

how much swap do you have? i have 16GB now, and 16GB ram. i had a machine before with 48GB ram. obviously having more ram and no swap should perform better than the same amount of memory split into ram and swap.

the original pull request was an email to the upstream developer to run "git pull your-repo your-branch". the concept is at least as old as git itself, possibly even older. github just created a webinterface for it.
