Agreed. You are right – what I do is much more similar to ERD than UML.

UML is too heavy and rigid. I use my own subset/version of UML, which uses a simplified "grammar", and allows you to express basically only the following: - Class with attributes - Parent/child relationship - One-to-one

Does Apple have a patent on this, or is it just not novel enough to warrant it?

Yes – hourly for obvious reason, and fixed-price so I can improve my estimates. I use Freshbooks for invoicing, and it also allows simple time tracking, for which I use a macOS dashboard widget (a bit outdated, but it works).

Neat idea – it could be a great way to A/B test variations in parameters etc.

They've made this promise before, and it's already supposed to be working (iOS Team Certificates, etc.). So whether they got it right this time and it actually works... we'll see

Facinating. Also see the video for their follow-up project "Arcade", which had gave them many more pixels to work with, and also an eight-step grayscale for each pixel. A much better effect IMO. You can watch here: https:/&#

As a person with a strange obsession with brutalism (some of it is great, some of it is terrible, some in-between, but IMO nearly all of it is fascinating) – cool! Seems to be missing a lot, though. Warsaw, Poland, doesn't have any lis

Great, I wish you luck with it. I realize it can seem like a lot of work to do this, but this seems like something all of you loved working on, so it would at least be able to survive in some way or other, and keep some of your users happy.

They should open-source the backend (and hell, the front-end, too). That way you could self-host, or someone else can provide hosting.

Yeah! I have symlinks to some directories, but I don't necessarily want to sync _all_ files in those directories. I think we're probably the 1% use-case for this though. However, you'd think some dev over at Dropbox would add

I don't know if it's just my shoddy memory, or maybe it's hard to tell from the pictures, but those look a lot "cheaper" than the classic Super Soakers I remember.

Last time I implemented something like this was in uni about 10 years ago now, but I recall that not being the case – you should be able to render just the visible area, as (at least in the case of Mandelbrot) the data is independent.

Some of this is nice, but I don't get why you would want your output to look like markdown _before processing_. Why can't the headings be headings, without the "##"s etc.

As someone who can never keep track of interesting links, I welcome the "favorite" functionality as another system I will use for a while, until it gets cluttered up and meaningless :) But honestly, good stuff.
