If Steam didn't accept AI in games since the beginning of Steam, there would be no Steam.

I'm at the cusp of becoming an old fart, and AI makes me happy. It brought back a lot of the fun and wonder I had with computers that is long gone now. I often prefer using Stable Diffusion and local LLMs over computer games now, becau

Absurd news article generator using local LLMs. I wanted to create a static website from the articles, but ultimately didn't think anyone would give a damn. In the same vein I create a person + CV generator, and a group chat between si

Thanks dang, I appreciate your efforts. I have no reason to doubt your word, and I may have imagined a pattern. I apologize for the accusation.

I don't mean to make accusations or invent "shadowy figures". HN has a very small number of moderators and their actions are not transparent, that's all.

Comments on frontpage posts that go up quickly but then suddenly don't receive any votes in any direction makes me think you do freeze vote counts.

The "force" is actually one or two people. It's hard to prove and impossible to change. No one will believe you, either.

The things you see on HN are not purely decided by the community. Mods can and do "freeze" the vote count on comments and posts, and do other non-obvious things too. You will notice the effect after participating for a while.

S and 5 are identical, as are Z and 2, and O and 0 (edit: and Q and 9). No punctuation either; semicolon vs. colon vs. exclamation mark needs creativity. There's no hope for $ or *.

It is nice for a developer, but I don't like it as a user. It doesn't look or feel good or right, nothing works like you're used to, keyboard support is clunky. I like it as cool a dev tool but I don't want to do real wo

It doesn't need to be trained on CSAM at all. You can make a 2-pass workflow using Stable Diffusion: start generating normal porn for a few steps, and for the rest generate children. I don't think this can be stopped.

Why would you publish your findings on Github of all places, but not release any code? I think this trend is really weird.
