This makes a lot of sense on the surface. Protect the cars and people from rain and sun, and generate electricity at the same time, using no additional land.

I'm not going to waste my time arguing with you. You seem to have a firm belief. It's not objective and factually incorrect. I'm not going to say Israel is innocent, far from it, but it's not a terrorist state. It's

It's disturbing that execs are wasting time in a meeting over a low level decision like that. Leave it to the product manager and designer to figure out. That's textbook bike shedding, and maybe it's why they seem to struggle

Wow, what a legacy that man left behind. I don't trust the numbers in the article, but even if his impact was a fraction of the 2.4M lives saved, he's had a remarkable impact in Australia. Thanks for sharing!

Where do you live? You paint such a lovely picture that I want to visit it one day. I'm planning a trip to Australia sometime in the next year.

It's a really smart idea. Look for agreement between people who often disagree as a signal of truth. Like you point out, it's probably a stronger signal of less divisive, less polarizing info than truth. But still decentralized an

The entire stock market has also not gone to zero. You're comparing apples to oranges. Individual coins have gone to zero, as have individual stocks. It's irrelevant to the argument I made.

Profits are the floor, as I mentioned. Negative profits in the absence of growth means the floor is 0 and the company may go under. That a stock can go to zero does not mean there's no floor under the price, but it depends on the compa

It's not fair, and it's messed up in my opinion. But then I'm an engineer and I highly value meritocracy over everything else. Other people have different values, like racial diversity, whatever they think that means. I think

And crypto go all the way to zero. I'm not sure what your point is. Companies can go bankrupt. So can coins. That's neither here nor there.

I keep hearing this repeated, but the link between military and the strength of the dollar is tenuous at best.

No, if dollars suffer hyperinflation, companies are still worth the present value of future cash flows. They'll suffer like everyone else in a tough environment, but they won't go to zero unless the company goes bankrupt. Bitcoin,

With stocks, you're purchasing future profits. That puts a floor under things. With crypto you're purchasing??? There's no floor. It has limited utility.

For someone not on the inside to flippantly dismiss his contribution as brand only is just ignorance. There's a chance you're right, but you have no evidence to back up your assertion.

Everyone downvoting me did worse in their career. It's easy to be a critic. But like him or hate him, you can't argue with the results that man achieved. None of us have done as much.

It's not that the water "blew away" in the solar wind, it's that the atmosphere did, taking the water vapor in the atmosphere with it. This is a very gradual process, which would happen on Earth too, if not for the magne

That's not true though. Some companies will grow faster than others. Also companies expand into foreign markets that are growing faster. Plus that really long term is probably long after everyone commenting here is dead.

How do profits grow 8% if the economy grows 3%. It does seem counterintuitive. This is the best answer I've seen: https://economics.stackexchange.com/a/21617/7263

Chlorine has lots of industrial uses, so I imagine you sell it. If you produce enough as a by product the cost will go insanely low. If you had to dump it, you'd probably react it with something cheap to make it inert. This would gener

That all makes sense about the weight, and it will likely matter for airplanes. But it doesn't matter enough for cars. LFP (lithium iron phosphate) batteries are already used by Tesla and have a gravimetric energy density of 125 Wh
