A cool idea could be to do something with those collections like open up an interactive historical technology museum or something like that.

I mean, it sounds okay to be liberated, but what if you just don't spend 50 minutes on it per day? Also, what about the argument of keeping in touch with all your high school friends and distant relatives? What about all the things I w

Very interesting. It seems that violations of this law are probably quite often unreported and/or unenforced.

What do you mean by this? I know for a fact that I was paid more than some H1B folks at previous companies, with equivalent titles and experience.

I think this is spot on. A lot of companies I know that are doing layoffs are entirely hands-off developers, except maybe the occasional breaking off with a contracting company.

This seems like a silly idea to me, frankly. What makes you think any of us are qualified to decide what the best company to fund would be? See this for precedence: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/03/22/world/

The REAL middle ground could be something like a small business which doesn't require insane amounts of time to run, so that you can still raise your kids. You might not make it to a billion dollars, but boo hoo.

I know people really love Org Mode, but I completely fail to see the utility of it. I even used emacs (as a text editor!) for a while, and tried Org Mode multiple times, usually ending in confusion and frustration. Not for lack of trying! F

I'm not being hyperbolic, and I think the React ecosystem deserves a large part of the blame for this mess. I am totally aware that is an unpopular opinion. The fact that Ember can distill the insanity of the community into an opiniona

I used bash-it for a long time early on. I was intimidated by switching to the unfamiliar territory of zsh, but it's a no-brainer now and I'd struggle to live without its features that I have since taken for granted.
