No need to apologize. I'm not familiar with the Starlink-44's structural design and profile but from promo images that I have seen it would make sense to still consider turning around on xyz axis to reduce impact risk a bit.

Wasn't that the original environment of the OLPC computers? IMHO nowadays an X220 with a Debian and a KDE/Gnome/xfce environment goes a long way for me.

There is also Alephobjects creators the Lulzbot 3D printers. I'm not sure about the start-up thing but they are making open hardware and they are very open about their modus operandi and finance. Does this work?

I never had this issue in EU. Is there a common EU mandate that prohibits carriers to discriminate tethered or untethered traffic?

I'm biased but I would think that if someone chooses to invest on space on it would make sense to reach out and assist non-profits that work on developing open space technologies too. Disclaimer: I'm part of one such organisation

I've set up a SatNOGS ( https://SatNOGS.org ) ground-station using a turnstile antenna. I'm able to retrieve signals from satellites and assist the rest of the community to retrieve signals from my location as well.

Alternatively if you want to have open data and share it with the community you can set up a SatNOGS ground station. Even if you don't have a Cubesat in the works. Check out wiki.satnogs.org
