Is there any way to identify if I'm a creditor with the email I registered with years ago?

This post is well written and accurate except for the salary numbers. As someone who's done a number of startups I do make fun of friends of mine who refer to mutual FAANG employed friends as "wage slaves" making quite litera

America has a spending problem not a taxation problem. That said, it's insane how many 501(c)(3)'s somehow manage to operate as legal or ethical organizations. OpenAI is the best example haha.

Haha running into this at 30 and it seems like I should just jump to something other than tech. I'm unsure if the employment number for aggregate total SWE headcount is accurate (the one pointing to less engineers being employed now th

Well... if you don't use the data from shot spotter in an actionable way and the mal-incentives for murder / illicit firearm possession don't change... yeah a tool meant to observe and record instances of gun violence probabl

Yeah, this is also a huge concern of mine. There's also nearly no standardization / information as to how to harden just a bit more than is commonly suggested by web devs / bad tutorial sites.

Any advice, I need more of a forcing function to actually get my resume through the first pass. Too many startups under 1yr definitely has fucked me.

Yeah, dissolved a startup I was working on as a co-founders since we ran out of capital a few months ago. The industry is NOT looking good - not feeling good about the next six months and getting back into product / SWE.

I'm getting tired of wasting my time at startups so 4.7 years into my career it might be time to finally just waste the time necessary to nail these problems.

Job hopping works if you're already in the top 10% of engineers and really talented when it comes to... interviewing. I suck at leetcode so maybe that's why I'm just not cut out for this. As long as I'm making $150k+ an

This was a stupid product to begin with. It solved a non-existent problem and had to... pair to your phone to work anyways which begs the question... why not literally just use the spotify app on your phone?

Competent founders should pay themselves $110k. No glory in going into debt for a bet with rich people's $$. At the very least enough to cover your expenses post tax.

well yeah, they removed all the heavy industry that previously were the largest consumers of electricity. I'm all for renewables but this isn't exactly as it seems a "win".

Super capacitors / just large capacitors in general might eventually save the day here. The only issue is super capacitors can't generally bake in the heat all day and still work for 3-5 years like lead acid batteries can. Superc

Is anyone else here using Ecoflow batteries as a UPS backup? I really wish Eeaton would produce a similar consumer facing function that is intended to be used long-term 24/7 not just on weekend trips etc.

Why did his site get taken down?? This was really popular a few months ago but unfortunately it's nearly impossible to find SXM4 A100 40g gpus on eBay for anything less than their retail price nowadays.

I feel like the honest solution is to just get over living in NYC and live somewhere else. As someone who lived there in their early 20s... and left. I have zero regrets.
