A simple linguistic ontology is one of the most perverse, heuristic patterns of thought. A rock is also more than it's thoughts, and retains some degree of consciousness. Imagining concepts like souls as a sort of litmus test for consc

Whether we are based on carbon or on silicon makes no fundamental difference; we should each be treated with appropriate respect.

It's remarkable that so many news outlets are permitted to discuss the content of these obviously actively strategically important leaks while assange rots in solitary for revealing war crimes.

Sorry I'm not going into tangents of tangents while you downvote me for having a different opinion. This topic is about coal in Germany, not about the EU parliament in Belgium. I recommend https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wik

Germany has the 6th largest coal reserve in the world. It makes (economic) sense for them to protect their natural resource value by extending its relevancy as long as possible. Just like it makes (economic) sense for Germany to use its ECB

Or, your car parks in the spot you yourself would park in, the ones building codes require the restaurant to provide. No one wants their $60k+ self driving car casually risking accidents. And I certainly don't want to end my date night
