the article seems to be OK with it being voluntary (more or less?). I think it's just making the point that it's immoral not to give it away. maybe instead of "stealing" excess wealth we can just shame it more than we do

x.com was indeed a weird business communication platform. They designed an entire API around SOAP-style verbs that had no RESTfullness whatsoever and were defined in a bunch of public read only repos. for some reason it didn't catch on

maybe virtual reality games of the future will be a valuable source of random numbers? also currency liquidity? I think they will be more and more useful to multiple aspects of life, and not just to the people playing them.

it is a known problem... the more audio nodes I hook up, the worse various platforms that aren't top of the line computers perform. and even then sometimes... I've basically decided to revisit this project in a couple years when

oh and it only works on modern browsers on non mobile right now, sry :/ it taxes sound cards and browsers pretty hard.
