A bit. It does cut down on a lot of code and it is a bit easier to follow. But I would not trade it in for Obj-C based on performance.

Love the way as you read the article you see this big modal slide down in front of your face and you have to figure out how to get rid of it. There is a tasteful way to do this and this is not one of them. Retention fail.

That is very true. I have one of those older CO detectors and the instructions say it should be about a half a foot from the floor. I have no idea why the Nest CO detector wants it mounted 10 feet from the floor. Seems useless.

To your point. One of the things I did not find was the benchmarks on tap response times. Maybe that was not tested but the screen plus the digitizer is really important.

Honestly, the government doesn't care how common your name is. It will ban it, sanction it, etc. We can see this in the no-fly list. They really don't care if all Smith's are banned. Even better for them.
