I feel the same. Apple software quality certainly hasn’t increased . Years back I remember some apps crashing suddenly after updating MacOS. I checked the binary and saw they’d started adding Swift. Half a decade later it seems like it sho

I’m curious about those neck brace style “vagus nerve stimulators” you see on the internet. Anyone have experience with them? Are they legit or snake oil?

So a single company that claims to detect AI writing says these two linked books were AI written? The one book that was actually read doesn’t seem linked or the name actually given, so it’s hard to verify. The article makes good click bait,

Ah good to know. For my use cases I would probably be looking at Couchbase Lite [1] not PouchDB. I’d be more concerned about file attachment sizes and syncing. 1: https://github.com/couchbase/couchbase-lite-C

Nice, I’ll have to try out Triplit. There’s also Couchbase which has a local sync database in C++ IIRC. Also, heads up the first triplit link I tried gave me a 404: https://www.triplit.dev/docs/client/query/se

Sqlite also doesn’t have fixed types, but uses a tagged value system to store data. Well according to what I’ve read on the topic.

Agreed, thought if we could get silicon + perovskite working well with stable perovskite that combined efficiency might be worthwhile.

Good points, background downloads would speed it up. And the language doesn’t have much to do with that. This project looks to be someone just toying around with Rust or their own PM. Props for that, but the headline has extra implications

Thanks, that’s exactly what I was referencing. In lisp the type doesn’t matter as much, just the structure, as maps or other dynamic pieces will be used. However in typed languages it matters a lot.

It’s interesting to use crusade in that fashion. The origins of the Christian crusades were to help free lands with still largely Christian populations from Muslim conquerors. It wasn’t to spread Christianity. Now the crusade’s definitely w

Definitely, you can do most of those things in Nim without macros using templates and compile time stuff. It’s preferable to macros when possible. Julia has fantastic compile time abilities as well. It’s beautiful to implement an incredibly
