What's annoying is that synchronisation does't work for google slides or google docs. They are just synchronized as links to the webpage on my computer.

WhatsApp secret conversations don't carry either over multiple devices if you don't activate sync with google drive (which kind of defeats the purpose of encryption anyway).

The issue is not only ads for vacuum cleaners. To me, the biggest issue with targeted ads is opinion or political manipulation, which is much more effective with a targeted user profile.

You can write \pi and then press tab. It works in the julia repl, and also on most editors that have julia plugins. Works for all greek letters, and other unicode characters.

How does this have an impact on privacy ? It only allows a website to send you additional information about some media, which you can display or not. It's not sending anything back to the server.

Except that it's not true. Even proven mathematical algorithms can be breaked if not implemented correctly, or some side channels might be discovered along the way. It's not just black and white.
