I think you take things too literally. But in the 90s I had a computer connected to analogue TV which was pretty blurry, that means you couldn't see pixels at all ;)

You can display more information using 4K @ 27 inch than 1080p @ 13.3, so not sure what is your point? I have 4k 27 inch monitor as well and can easily see pixels.

I think it is down to ones ability to see. My travel-work laptop has QHD+ screen and I can easily see pixels from normal working distance. 1080p screen could definitely give me "90s experience"

by elcct 10y ago
It is passable for a phone, but if you do something more productive than browsing the web or watching youtube, 1080p is definitely not an economical use of the space. QHD+ is absolute minimum in terms of how much information you can display

Low res screen and only 8GB of RAM, kind of a deal breaker for me.

Yes, you are completely right! It was just wishful thinking on my side.

It works because artists accept it. If artists refused to sign to big labels they'd eventually ran out of content and forced media to look elsewhere to fill space between adverts. Artists have means to self publish, promote and it is e

Did they mitigate the attack or attack has stopped? I am asking, because update is lacking the details about said mitigation.

It seems like a huge waste of time to create a new language so that people will not do "stupid" things in their templates. The case of PHP is especially amusing. How about using common sense? I mean if a programmer intends to do &

Why do they say their template system is simpler than JSX? You have to learn a whole lot of new stuff and syntax is barely readable. Whereas JSX is clear and you can use already familiar JavaScript.

I agree about the updates. Regarding the apps I think I developed app blindness - I just don't notice them, my brain ignores it completely.

What if the locked power of human brain is pure stupidity? Well... there is only one way to find out.

Motherboards are getting close to the size of ram modules. Swapping a motherboard is not too big deal. But sometimes it is hard to find one with desired amount of ram. Price wise there is not much difference.

All the apps I use have high dpi support. I can't imagine going back to 1080p.

On the other hand I have Lenovo's Yoga 3 and that is a real piece of junk. I wonder how it ever gone past qa. Touchpad is a bad joke and screen flickers like a strobe light at a 90s illegal rave party. Not to mention Core M calculator

Same here. I have never been a fan of touchpad and can't imagine using DAW with it.

Maybe you are the unlucky one. I wouldn't trade windows 10 for anything else.

It is unlikely that you will learn something worthwhile in a company using such practices.

That jobs are posted with a salary and what company is actually going to offer are different stories. There is a lot of time wasters around. A lot of companies use that as a bait and hope that once you go through lengthy interview process y

You can accidentally cross the street and die - that doesn't mean we should put guards on the pavements and issue pedestrian ids. There is a better solution. How about parents take responsibility for what their kids do?

How about Google? Apart from illegal movies, you can also find porn there as easily.

I was also running Hyper-V just to get an opinion, so I had Docker for Windows and Ubuntu VM alongside. Setting it up was a little bit clumsy - nowhere near the comfort of VMWare Workstation.
