I started using such an app (pings you each evening to choose your mood and select some tags that describe your day). https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.daylio (not affiliated in any way)

That's not the issue here though. I had this happen to me with the old 'type these two street numbers' captcha as well: it would just present a new captcha after the old one was solved correctly. Makes me give up instantly wh

Google Maps is much more than just a map display though: Things like routing, current/expected traffic or business info (opening times, busy hours, ...) are so much better than anything OSM-related services have to offer right now, esp

They got screen time on the TV series and apparently some "sponsored by Firefox" metioning in the credits (?). So the whole "unpaid" thing is a bit misleading as they did get something in return (which has direct cash va

Really? I know a ton of people who talk to their phones (Google Assistant, Siri, navigation apps, ...) or have something like Alexa in their homes and I don't live in an english speaking country.

I really doubt advertisers will make their ads less resource-hungry (and therefore less noticeable/appealing) when they detect low battery levels just because it would be better for the user (albeit worse for themselves).

I've been waiting for ages for better tiling in Gnome - at least something like Windows 7 does would be great (resizing after half-tiling), but this looks even better! :)

I'm always confused by comments like these - they seem almost intentionally misleading, but of course it could also be just a mistake while quickly scanning an article.

I don't think it's a good idea to publish an article now (August 2017) that contains information already outdated for more than a year ([no] detection of gravitational waves) without any kind of notice/cue…

I too first learned of the Facebook browser when a client complained that his websites has some issues with it. Kinda weird how we as developers (that like to keep up to date with web tech) can be completely unaware of a browser that appare

But isn't it sad if MacOS has to be compared to Windows to relativize its flaws? People were using it because they felt it was BETTER than Windows, not because "both are meeh". Also arguably, selecting text in a dialog box (

I like that kind of joke that is on both side's cost – not only the punchline about the KGB is funny but also the parts about the FBI and CIA play with the respective stereotypes in a funny way.
