Call it what you want, but spoiling children with digital devices before they can even talk properly and then trying to forcing everyone to upload their ID to random server (which will sell/leak that) is definitely a parenting issue.

Exactly. I prefer to open in the same page. If I want to open in new tab then I can always Ctrl + Click. I don't think I can do the reverse though.

Most in-app Ads can be blocked with simply changing your dns. And most people don't even use adblocker when browsing normal site. I kind of had to tech my surrounding people to use adblocker.
