Also - he's a software engineer - one of the best paid careers at the moment (and in the US). I also work in IT (not in the US) and get paid 5x times what my former highschool colleagues make. But I don't rub salt in their wounds

There is still a LOT of value that people can bring to the table. Instead of paying everyone for nothing, why not pay them for creating value (volunteer in various projects, local agriculture, studying, etc)

I use a 2017 Thinkpad at work... The screen is worse than my MBP, the touchpad is crap, it crashes once a month or so. I could have used it as a replacement for my rMBP 15 2012, but I got a 2017 13" nTB MBP for home use and side projec

There are blunders - but the difference is that there is a lot of scrutiny on iOS and macOS compared to other more niche options. But I guess security through obscurity is not too bad. Apple did benefit from it for many years.

My main gripe with it - are the closed questions. I think half the time I end up on SO - the questions is unanswered and closed. Delete the thread at least, why waste time of people searching for an answer to get frustrated by your over-zea
