But one of the big advantage of typed languages is that you CAN throw away that information and still be safe (proven by compiler). You don't have to pay for them at runtime.

It does, rust-analyser is much better than IntelliJ rust right now.

Sorry, not willing to give you a breakdown of me and my modestly vast professional circle's castes.

Looks like people in the west are much more interested in castes. I have never once in my career in tech in India ever had a discussion about it at any workplace or ever heard anybody talk about it.

Down voters should read up on the state of mandatory locking in Linux and what conditions need to be met and how reliable it is.

From what I know, so far linux doesn't have an exclusive lock capability on a file, windows does however. So in linux you can't mark a file in exclusive possession of a process.

I have done Scala for a long time, I had a chance encounter with Spring boot and reflections like no tomorrow style of programming. It was like a wake up call. I knew why I hated the complex juggernaut of the configs and magic but man do I

I am being misunderstood, let me elaborate, point is, there is no standard answer to the question “what to ask in an interview”. They are just giving an example of how somebody will always have problem with the questions being asked and the

That’s not their point. Point is, it’s really subjective and there is no standard answer. As much hate as leetcode style interviews get, you at least have a standard interview process as that point but yeah don’t overdo it and make sure the

There is development, then there is academic curiosity and code golfing. I have trouble understanding how people who say Scala is bad in the same breath praise the reflection like there is no tomorrow Java alternatives or Go’s ocean of tex

Having used IntelliJ for a long time I would agree in all cases except rust and flutter. Flutter IntelliJ is not bad but rust analyser in vs code is miles ahead of IntelliJ rust.

With compose for desktop announced, I was wondering when a new interface would be unveiled. Looks like they are using the migration to the new stack to experiment with a lightweight alternative to vscode. I wonder if it also uses kotlin nat

I would like to disagree, in my experience eventing/cqrs are wonderful solutions to a set of problems (specially where event by event playback is a primary functionality). In most other cases it’s overkill and maintaining a snapshot of

It’s funny in my mind that I laughed at his joke about “the computer would just produce heat” and somehow the whole of cryptocurrency is literally doing just that.

It depends on the network topology (likelihood not theoretical) but with the amount of split brains I have witnessed, I would say definitely yes, 4 is less reliable than 3.

Even though I agree with your sentiment, you would be surprised just how many ads in India include foreigners (all white) exclusively, it’s fucking ridiculous :D What’s frustrating is that almost nobody cares or is frustrated by it :D

That’s really really unfair. So first west fucked up our symbol and now west won’t educate itself about the actual symbol? Swastik is such an ingrained part of my culture and religion, can’t just give it up.

There are many entitlements that the free account can’t have. There are also other provisioning profile management bugs with free accounts that apple hasn’t fixed.

I think that’s really really wrong interpretation of it. It tells you your karma (actions) should always be dictated by your dharma (the right thing to do, nothing to do with caste btw, not sure how that got into the translation if it did).

That seems to be patently false. The oldest Tamil literature is Sangam literature (except Tolkāppiyam which is about grammar and contains influences from people all around India) which also contains poems for Vishnu, shiva, Durga. Buddhism
