I'm in the same boat, looking at lemmy and mastodon. I think the key will be to hit some critical mass quickly enough.

100% agree, the challenge is that with Digg, we had reddit to flee to. I'm looking at lemmy, which seems similar in many ways, but is federated.

You seem like a very interesting person! > Also I have no attention shortages and can comfortably read a full book cover-to-cover nonstop, meditate or keep the focus of a full-day meeting on track with multiple persons in the room trying

I love the simplicity and interface, but it seems unclear where the money goes. I can't find a FAQ.

I do the same thing, but my move is to never go back to them. Works great. Saves time. Or something. :)

I love this concept, this seems quite needed in the near future as accounts that seem human will proliferate.

We need to redirect these calls to an AI that will ask great questions and seem almost quite interested.

80/20 solution: People want to use the gmail interface, so the ideal solution is to use a custom domain and point it there. You can still lose all that email but you don't lose the ADDRESS, so all the accounts that you use to log

Sure, but you would as a generality have gotten BETTER information from the real sources from whom the SEO-oriented farms took the info and optimized for the search engines. They're repurposing someone else's original content.
