Kicking someone in the face will damage them, might stun them and keep them off you, but probably won't knock them out. Knockouts come from moving the brain within the skull, and a blow to the face isn't the best way to do it (too soft).

Congrats on being the #1 (in terms of visibility) featured magazine on MagCloud. Keep it up bearswithclaws!

Do you think there'd be a market for a "general entrepreneurship" one? More like Inc or Fast Company, but using the "unpaid content with permission and accreditation" model that Hacker Monthly is doing? I've been thinking of doing that.

Pretty fantastic. The paper is thick and the ink doesn't come off on your hands. It feels a little bit like a collectors item, at least for geeks like me. His simple design aesthetic is so good that my other magazines feel jarring and clutt

Please add a way for me to subscribe rather than buy these one by one. I don't want to "buy" monthly, I want to receive monthly. ;) Editing to add: Even if Magcloud doesn't have a way to do this, it might be worth your while (especially

Speaking simply and not going into every possible nuance... someone else doing the same thing is practically not data at all. If they're succeeding , that means you should do it. If they're failing , maybe you shouldn't.

I don't think he means empathy as in "well, guess we can't fault them for their behaviour, so let's let them go" but rather that they got a bad roll of the dice, and that sucks, (but we have to lock them up or control them anyhow...) A diff

Agreed, but the reason you'd see more action is that they wouldn't be in it alone. Starting a business is hard, and people feel pretty lost. In making that offer you'd have to consider whether or not you want (and can commit to!) truly star

I'm guessing that people post it as a physical hack. Hack in the sense that they're doing more with less than "should" be possible. Add that it's mildly counter-culture and environmentally friendly, and people vote it up.

Usually when people say "take risks when you're young" they're not talking about age as the only factor. As people get older, they (often, not always) take on more responsibilities such as children or a mortgage. When you have kids, you hav

I love soccer and I'd love to see more of it in North America. All the diving to the ground and "oooh my ankle" crap makes it look to people here like a sport full of unnecessary drama. If disincentives were added so diving didn't pay, the

"k" and "bucks" are rarely used together, so I think kiba means dollars. While the amounts might be small to you, be careful of putting it down - everyone has to start somewhere, and better to be excited to be making anything at all than

You're absolutely right, but I think video calling is actually very tightly targeted. If you watch Apple's launch video, it's all about family members who love each other but are separated. (Eg. it's not 20-somethings video calling each ot
