I do this with my kids, gesturing (not pointing) as it helps my mind remain focused on truly listening to them amid everything else going on. I probably look ridiculous, but I'm a better father for it so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Since vitamin D is cheap and readily available, we don't need to wait before making sure we have enough of it. Grip strength is another proxy for health, specifically how likely you were to die anytime soon. Makes sense. But training y

Definitely interesting, but the post isn't about elephants vs wolves (no wolves are mentioned!) but about why the Romans didn't adopt the use of elephants in war. TLDR; Despite being theoretically SUPERBADASS (my words), elephants

That's fair/fine, but what do you propose is an actionable way to handle your concern? Declare her ineligible?

You're interpreting from my comment a viewpoint, but I'm really just answering the exact question. The police do need to be held to a higher standard than civilians.

The difference would be that police are privately identifying people.

I really like this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07V81DY17/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b... - $300 - simple/small - elegant-looking (fake walnut finish, but high-quality) - motor that goes up and d

Glassdoor was acquired by Indeed, who is moving all paid job postings ($$$) over to Indeed. That leaves Glassdoor without a business model, hence this internal pivot. Source: https://www.chadcheese.com/episodes (scroll down

The company numbers are smaller as initially we were functioning more like recruiters. Now adding more scaleable and self-serve options.

We're working really hard on solving this specific problem. Resumes show you surface/hard facts, but not the "soft stuff" that really matters for whether or not people will be happy in their new role. Things like share

Age is also a factor -- when I was younger I could eat two large pizzas at one point without a problem. Now a couple slices and I feel like junk. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Have you actually looked into it? The stuff he's doing is quite scientifically controlled/verified. He's controlling his autonomic nervous system in interesting ways, and his advanced students are doing the same thing.

Related/similar: I remember reading that when cyclists wore helmets, drivers felt safer driving closer to them. Another IIRC is that safer cars meant that people just drove faster.

Same boat. Trading in my fancy Chrysler Pacifica minivan for a Toyota Sequoia with physical AC knobs. Right now I have to wait for a computer to boot up, and then click to accept the terms and conditions. Every. Time.

I think it's a tough space. I'd start by trying to make sure people would PAY for whatever you want to build. The needs you're talking about are pretty specific.
