It was only at one site that the generators failed, but it was two generators in that site: In the single datacenter that did not successfully transfer to the generator backup, all servers continued to operate normally on Uninterruptable P

Last I checked, aural stylesheets aren't broadly supported. You'd be much better off using ARIA (which has pretty broad support from browser vendors and assistive technology vendors): <span class="icon" aria-hidden="true">Facebo

Does owning a gTLD entitle you to use the top of your namespace for anything other than NS/SOA records? Put another way, if I'm Microsoft, can I put my website at http://microsoft ? Or do I have to use http://www.microsoft ? I've looked

FYI, Comcast's new generation of DNS servers appear to be much more reliable. They support IPv6, DNSSec, and don't have ads. Also, they're anycast (like Google), so the IPs are the same everywhere: 75.75.75.75 75.75.76.76 2001:558:FEED::1 2

I have a credit union account (First Tech CU), and I regularly deposit checks at a different CU's ATM (BECU has fancy ATMs that scan checks, so I prefer them). In fact, any CO-OP Network ATM works just as well as my own CU's ATM (no fees, d

Comcast hosts anycast DNS servers that opt out of the "domain helper" feature (and support DNSSEC): 75.75.75.75 and 75.75.76.76 http://dns.comcast.net/dns-ip-addresses2.php

Interesting...in the case of Steam, does the ISP run that server, or do they just whitelist the Steam server IP?

A bit of trivia about recall: Recall is actually not even a feature of Exchange, only Outlook. Exchange sees the messages as normal emails. Thus, if the receiving party doesn't have Outlook open, the message won't get recalled.

Correct. Don't blame the feature. It's designed to protect from lost phones. Not only can IT wipe your phone (presumably at your request), but you can actually wipe your own phone from Outlook Web Access. What's interesting is this: the
