In general, why would one take this approach of embedding a browser, compiling to WASM, etc. over a native UI? I'm genuinely curious why/when this is a better solution.

Whataboutism. Mass-surveillance (including bulk collection of metadata) is an authoritarian move, which more and more western countries are guilty of. I'm not making a comparison – I'm simply arguing against something.

Here's hoping for a Butlerian Jihad... or, you know, just introducing privacy legislation that make specific outcomes, not methods, illegal – in the same way that murder is illegal, regardless of method, tools, etc. While Tethics and A

Currently, switching contexts means quitting unneeded applications, though I'd certainly be interested in exploring alternative needs, and I'm planning on implementing whitelisting of apps on a context- and/or global basis. I

I think this is another example of wanting to ban a concrete outcome of problematic behavior. It's the tracking and targeting that should be illegal, in my opinion. I've always found it weird that we don't explicitly recogniz

Separate user accounts is kind of the naive (and not quite complete) solution to the same problem. Not really a smooth experience in my opinion, doesn't map quite as well to the concept of "working context" as I think of it.

I can't believe that this stuff is acceptible, or even legal. The fact that you're tracked off-Facebook (for instance), even if you're not logged in or on Facebook is not just creepy, but borderline abusive.
