I left my previous job because breach of trust - if you're telling me for months that we're going to use language A, and then you go with language B, then that's not really treating your team with respect. I'd be happy l

I'd want somebody else to look at my code - the more I spend on my code the more blinded I become to the issues I'm trying to fix while sacrificing others.

I understand where you're coming from, but I'd read it as writing code that will behave the way it's anticipated without any gotchas - merely writing code that works in a specific scenario shouldn't be the goal. Addition

Well, if you'll allow everybody to review everybody PRs then eventually that's what you'll get. Similarly - junior might look at your PR and see that it's ok. Senior might look at it, see that you've forgot about a

I strongly disagree - while juniors are more than welcome to look at the PRs, if you allow juniors to approve PRs of other juniors you quickly find your codebase deteriorating.

Yeah, that's unrealistic - in the real world you have access to the internet, to your notes, to other people. As long as you can apply that knowledge, as long as you can show that "ok, here I want to use XYZ because of ABC",

Recently I've been interviewing a bunch of programmers and most of them exhibited one pattern - while their code was good, when it came to edit it, in a f2f interview, they simply couldn't do it. They had access to googling the an

It's counterintuitive, as magically the car appears behind the door that Monty chose. But tbf chances of it being behind the door you've chosen were 0 to begin with.

Oh, so you have the distinction between `function foo() { return; }` and `function bar() {}`. From the languages I'm accustomed to, yes, second syntax is first syntax under the hood. Thanks for the explanation!

No, but you're defining a unit here; I'd expect people to put in values as 0..100 with unit being percent. So if a person puts in 20, and you'll want to multiply it by 3, you'd not expect 60 as end result; you'd exp

I'm serious. Of course you don't test that language operations work, but you're testing that given method does what it's supposed to do. In this case your method sets value for property on model. It doesn't matter y

You'd test those cases. This way, if you'll change your code to be ``` public setValue(value) { this.value = value + 5 } ``` then your tests will start to fail. Treat tests as a contract.
