This might be true, but I haven't felt it that way. My experience the past two months has been that my avg meetings/week has spiked from about 30 to 45, with avg time spent in meetings per week at 30 currently. The result is tha

Yes. I'm just saying that the majority of restaurants in the greater bay area will have lengthy delivery times during weekday dinner hours... the exception being if you order from a place physically close to your delivery point.

That last bit only applies in dense downtowns. In the Bay Area, if I'm hungry right now and that happens to be roughly dinner time, I'm waiting 50-70 minutes for a food delivery.

People need to understand that salaries are set based on cost of labor, not cost of living. Companies will pay what it takes, but that value is preset by what employees are willing to accept in any given market.

I was in manufacturing IT before moving to big tech. Our big campuses in the US & Europe had 40-80mbps internet circuits. The remote facilities in developing countries often only had 10mbps MPLS connections to a regional hub. To be 1

Joining a Meet meeting is easy, just like joining a Teams meeting is easy. Both are much, much easier than Webex & Zoom, which irritate with attempts at forcing client software installation.

Nightmare is a strong word, but it is very hard. We have a 3yo, a 3rd grader and a 5th grader. If it weren't for the 3yo we'd probably be in decent shape because our kids are generally pretty mature and well-adjusted, and academ
