Maybe we could start adding flags to sites that block browsers with a failed Cloudflare "Security Check". archived version w/o check: https://web.archive.org/web/20260701193209/https://www.

The generally used term that I'm familiar with for this is "referential transparency", that given the same inputs you'll get the same outputs every time. LLMs can be deterministic (referentially transparent) but almost n

I've dug into this a bit and I'd say the answer is no, they do not support being used as a secondary.

Don't they have to go through a Google approval process for (official) Android? I'm not sure I see this as a big win unless they are strictly supporting GrapheneOS and other de-Googled Androids.

Disagree. Hiring and firing is better than a bad interview process. The reason we don't have that is due to regulations and litigiousness (and the laws that facilitate it). IMO failing to get the opportunity is worse than getting the o

Why is a lossy testing filter better than just failing out those who can't make it? Maybe allow for larger freshmen classes and smaller latter classes or adopt community colleges and have all students start there and advance into the U

I think dma ( https://github.com/corecode/dma ) would work for this purpose and has a much easier config than exim.

How is it an step-up from markdown? Markdown (w/o any embedded html) is a simple text formatting that lets you read it as a plain text file with some minor formatting when rendered. Typst source files are not human readable in the same

Easy peasy yet still impossible for them to do as R&D doesn't add to the bottom line, it is a cost center.

This makes total sense given that a wiki is a collection of plain text files with a few simple conventions (not markup) around formatting and linking.

This is when it makes sense to split your business up into multiple smaller businesses. The government should be doing this via anti-trust but they have dropped the ball there so, at this point, the corps really need to just do it to thems

They probably meant both. Open training data is obviously better than open weight, but open weight is still much, much better than closed SAAS models.

So you're saying this is being done to benefit Anthropic, giving them that regulatory moat they've been so desperately asking for... This could give them that slowdown in model training that they need to be profitable.
