If you do that (at least with the approaches I've seen) and follow "standard" quantum mechanics rules for the observer as well as the observed the you end up deriving many worlds / Everettian quantum mechanics.

Thats quite cute. I imagine it is (doing something equivalent to) using the complex exponential and taking the real an imaginary parts? exp(iz) = cos(z) + i sin(z), so by working out exp you can get cos and sin for free.

Starting for Euler's formula you can write cos(x) = (exp(ix) + exp(-ix))/2 so the cosine is in some sense a "type of exponential". If the cosine is a type of exponential then its inverse (the function that takes you to t

Of course, I agree in principle at someone could try to use "identity politics" to try to break up a union. I think in my country all or most of the arbitrary differences you list are "protected classes" and a company se

What happens as industries reduce is that multiple unions which are becoming smaller merge together. This is very different to what the guy was writing above about unions fragmenting due to political differences.

I agree with everything you wrote here, when I wrote "relatively common", I meant relative to the USA. I didn't mean to imply this was the golden age of union membership in the UK at all.

This seems like baseless conjecture, unless you have an example of a union (literally any union in history) being busted by "identity politics". Where I am from (the UK) unions are relatively commonplace, I have even been in one i

Photons do not have mass (their relativistic mass is zero). Momentum and pressure do not require mass to exist.

Yes, this is quite well known. See (e.g.) the third paragraph on Terrence Tao's blog here https://terrytao.wordpress.com/2011/08/25/the-collatz-conjec... For what its worth Tao is possibly the only perso

This reasoning is faulty since the same conjecture if you replace 3n+1 with 5n+1 turns out to be false. Interestingly the problem with a general pair of constants is undecidable.

Thats not hugely relevant though, quoting from the wiki article: "Grazing systems supply about 9 percent of the world's production of beef" The overwhelming majority of cows live on maize, soy, barley etc. Article: https:&#x

Given the multiplication table of a (finite) group there are a couple of "obvious" representations you can pick. Firstly theres always the trivial representation that just sends everything to the identity. More interestingly you

Many worlds is not a logical consequence of the non-deterministic view of quantum mechanics. One of the reasons cited in favour of the MWI is that it is wholly deterministic . That is probability doesn't appear at all in it's f
