Is Arc still built on top of (formerly PLT Scheme, now) Racket? The Wikipedia page[1] says so. I'm more familiar with Common Lisp (which blazes) than Racket, but these seem like impressive stats to me. [1] https://en.wikip

Seeing this post/thread brings back some good memories! Am happy to see Phillip Glass is on Bandcamp. I found an old cassette copy of Koyaanisqatsi kicking around but also just got a digital copy of the soundtrack there; happy to supp

We specifically preferred Leiningen for all new projects at my last job because of a number of plugins we still used that were unsupported by Deps. This was a year ago, so that may have changed since I left. I still find Lein a little easi

I wonder about the "Last" in the title, and how common road landings are in general. We had one not far from us awhile back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QOMDyMZD3k , saw the plane from a bridge on my bike com

That doesn't seem that bad to me for a Lisp. Common Lisp / SBCL equivalent for me is 41MB. Clojure überjar size for the same is 4.6MB. There is a cost to having so much language ("all the language, all the time") availab

If you're interested in compilers and language implementation, it may not be obvious, but one needn't be a university student or devote a semester to the topic. Taking a four-day compiler course[1] (now five days) whetted my appet

The data on the site is fascinating, and can be downloaded as CSV, XLS, etc. (I live about 100m from a rail corridor, and though I love trains, I do worry occasionally about accidents).
