Browsing the source of games like Nethack and Battle for Wesnoth (around a decade ago) opened my eyes - sometimes code quality can seem poor but the product can be great. Blender is another one that seems very ramshackle and complex. I won&

Yep! We've got lots of great artists here. I met him once, shortly after he did the Simpsons intro piece.

I disabled cross-grain and drape and it billowed and exploded: https://twitter.com/eigenbom/status/738887973559668736 Not sure if bug or if those parameters are not in the space of valid options. Cool project btw!

The death of c++ in many universities could be blamed a little on the hurdles you have to jump to create something windowed and interactive (what many would consider a "program"). I saw that happen at my university between 2000-20

Ahh, I didn't check the publication date. That explains a bit, c++ has had some big changes in the last 6 years.

Always fun to see projects like this, but I don't get some of the motivations. Regarding the code examples: // c++ AutoFile file("c:/temp/foo.txt", "w"); fprintf(file, "Hello, world&

So awesome! I added a flanging dancing circle thing. I ran a 'write a game in a tweet' challenge last year, was super fun and had heaps of creative entries (mostly javascript). https://twitter.com/eigenbom/sta

I'm excited for Jai, and if it ever makes it out into the world I look forward to building some games with it. However, I just see C++ continuing to get better and better for games programming. The recent appearance of the Core Guideli

I have this issue occasionally, switching between sf::Vector2, b2Vec2, gVec2, etc. Something like drawLine({v.x,v.y},{w.x,w.y}) usually works in a lot of these cases, but I don't mind explicitly converting between representations in or

I can see so much potential for this. For example, if you don't want to solely distribute on Steam but want an auto-update feature then it'll be a lot easier with AWS. Not C++ specific, but I'm hopeful that we'll see som

Your library looks pretty neat, but I have an aversion to boost too. I love that c++ is slowly absorbing the best bits so I can detach myself from it -- it's a great library but is just so monolithic. And whenever I need a non-header-o
