Linux is great for servers, but this kind of thing really makes it hard to think about using as a desktop.

Not really. There's a difference between cane sugar, and high fructose corn syrup. Not that too much can sugar is good for you either, but it's more expensive, so before the advent of corn syrup, less was used.

This has nothing to do with amp, and everything to do with users thinking http://printer001.cpalawyer.bz/mircosoftoneline.acutallogind... is a legit office 365 login page. Not that they're going to notice that the url

Agreed! Designers spend tons of time on creating a document for printing. I can only imagine if the print house devcided to change the aspect ratio or size of the final output randomly, or lower the printer resolution.

I don't see how users hate pdfs? They're perfect for sending to print houses, so we know what we send is exactly what ends up on paper!

It's not really gatekeeping. If you're doing any kind of backend work, you need to know how your persistence layer works. You don't need to be an expert, but you need to realize the implications of what you're doing with

There was a story that i'm having trouble finding now, where researchers figured out a test for who would succeed in a compsci program. It didn't matter how many questions you got right on the test, but rather, if you answered the

My backend take a 'fields' parameter, I use it mostly in list views. My backend has nested models. I can request the line_items field and get that list along with the root object, submit it back with added fields easily.

This page does not inspire confidence in the framework. I don't need a non-ui piece of software to have the slickest site... but no lorem ipsum please.

I'd love to know what the other options are out there, as mentioned in the article. Right now, patreon is well known, and I'd be concerned with an unknown site turning supporters off.

Moving to clean electricity is not strictly about money. Even if it is for you, factor in the difference in health costs of people around a bunch of burning coal, vs solar or wind. also environmental cleanup. etc.
