In the future, I imagine a single device that can do both. In that world, VR is just AR that occludes your entire vision. Then you use AR when you want to stay in your current environment, and VR when you want to be transported to a very di

I don't know which version of Ember the author is using, but note that last year Ember introduced a new rendering engine called glimmer which performs much better on the same benchmark: https://www.isemberfastyet.com/

But are those strictly react dependencies? Seems more like a demo that was doing a lot more than just using react. Eg, browserify is mentioned, but that's a totally separate project from react, completely orthogonal. So inexperience se

What dependencies are required? I would have thought that for basic, no-frills use, you could just load react.js and use it with no other dependencies. Are you referring to the tooling setup required for JSX? I've never used react, jus

There seem to be measurements in the slides I reference, so it wasn't exactly "future work". But of course it sucks that this work is not yet publicly available (AFAIK), probably due to not being 100% production ready yet. Bu

Search around for "Substrate VM". I see it referenced in some slide decks, and it's designed to make JVM startup much faster. Here's an old slidedeck that talks about it: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork

This is the dawn of the age of rejuvenation biotechnology, with a near future of widespread support for that goal. Seems to me like we're not that close to having "widespread support" in the general public for tackling agin

It can be an energy win if the background threads allow work to be completed much faster. That's because finishing earlier will allow CPUs to throttle down as soon as the work is done, thus cutting power usage.

A linear rate is not very realistic here. Exponential decay would be better, but still probably completely useless as a predictive tool.

http2 may help you with that. Your tooling could also potentially inline the components too, you don't have to make an http request for each one. That fact that Vulcanize didn't work too well for you for whatever reason seems li
