I really don't want to be defending Elon, but I think saying "Elon must be stupid because of how he handled Twitter" is as silly as "Elon had success with Tesla and SpaceX therefore he knows how to run companies". T

Right, Twitter is absolutely nothing like SpaceX or Tesla. Twitter's problems aren't engineering issues, they're political and related to moderation. Content moderation is one of the hardest problems current which no company

Meanwhile quality of Quora answers these days are basically as bad as it gets, so bad that I have it blocked from my Google results. Not once have I been to Quora and actually found an answer I was looking for.

Eh, before the post in OP, I believe the timeline was June 2023 MV2 extensions go unlisted and January 2024 they get deleted. People do procrastinate but we're still far from 2/3 being "broken".

Why does it matter? If I'm doing a Puzzle Hunt, and I give it a few cryptics to help me with, and it gets half of them right (cryptics are generally easy to verify after you get the solution), then it did what I needed it for.

I don't think that's always true. I do a lot of puzzle hunt, and I've been using GPT-3 for cryptics in the past week, and I'd say it gets it right around 20% of the time, which isn't horrible but still impressive, a

To me, what's scary is exponential graphs. Anything before the curve looks flat, and everything after looks nearly vertical. Everything seems fine, and right now you have time to get bored between each step, until one day it's sud

It's also ridiculous to me that they think removing a couple naked pictures of Hunter is "censorship". As if you can truly "censor" information on the internet. You can maybe slow its spread, but if anything, the h

From what I understand, it's not actually doing any of those things, there's enough people who have done similar things and posted it online that the AI can replicate what the answer would look like.

Google left China in 2010 and hasn't really gone back, other than some hardware manufacturing there. Bing on the other hand is available and fully complies with Chinese censorship.
