I think the point that Einstein was making that you should be able to explain it to a 6 year old but not necessarily expect him to understand your explanation. I would love to hear him explain why e=mc^2 to a 6 year old and then quiz the 6

i find this attitude troubling on a couple of levels... so we should not pursue to solve inherently complex problems for fear that we won't be able to explain them within the time frame for an elevator pitch? is ADD really that prevalent?

why do i get the feeling that you probably haven't spent much time "debugging" unit-tests... unit testing give you the false confidence that your stuff is working, it has little to no bearing on stuff actually working when pushed to product

windows 8 is particularly bad on a 30 inch monitor when running its native metro apps in full screen with no ability to re-size anything. this may work great for a 10 inch tablet screen but its a serious problem for any modern professional

Apple ads have always emphasized "why" I should be using that product. Its not about the product itself or its specs but why I should have it. They are not straying away from that principle here so I'm not really sure where your beef is.. r

try hitting the "windows" key more often :) case in point, hitting the windows key immediately gets you to the tile view where you can start typing the name of program you want to launch and its instantly there. its a bit of a learning curv

the idea is to capture your real intent and formulate it as an expression which can then be evaluated (on demand or lazy) and chained with others ... this requires you to focus on how to solve the problem succinctly rather than blindly wiri

perhaps the real solution to the performance issue you mention is to have svnadmin actually write to a target file instead of crossing process boundaries to redirect stdout ? have you tried : Start-Process '{PATHTOSUBVERSION}\svnadmin' -arg
